Youth Ministry Artistic Coordinator
Tabitha Teves has been working at Neighborhood for 1 year (since May 2006). Tabitha currently
serves as the Youth Ministry Coordinator, in the Student Ministries Department.
Tell us about yourself:
I was blessed to be raised by Christian parents and I've loved and served God for as long as I can remember. Jesus was, and still is, everything to me. Much of my childhood consisted of music and drama which led me to my first performance here at Neighborhood Church! That was years ago, and I've been attending and serving in the music and arts department ever since!
What do you do as Youth Ministry Coordinator?
As Youth Ministry Coordinator for the children's and jr high ministries, I get the fun tasks of planning and coordinating many of the events students enjoy throughout the year (camps, banquets, beach days, etc.) I also work along side our team leaders to organize or develop ongoing and upcoming projects such as Grounded Magazine. My goal is to support these ministries so that they can run smoothly and effectively, meeting the needs of the students and families who are a part of them.
What is the best part of your job?
I love working directly in ministry, and spending time with students when I get the chance. It is also so exciting to work along side an AWESOME team of people who have a common goal. The greatest reward is to see eternal results that come of our efforts to serve Him, together, with all of our unique talents and abilities!
If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?
Singing. Or just sitting at the piano writing something.
What is your favorite movie quote?
"Smiling's my favorite!" -Elf.
What food do you absolutely love? What food do you hate?
I LOVE all kinds of food!! I like cheese enchiladas, tikki masala rolls, mushroom pizza, macaroni and cheese, my mom's meatloaf, peanut butter cookies, mcdonalds french fries, and potatoes of all kinds...to name a few.
What do I dislike? Candy, cookies, cakes...pretty much sweets in general. OH! And horesradish. Ew.
