Tell us about yourself:
i come from both a mother and a father who loved me very much. they also brought our family to this church since we moved to castro valley in 1989 and still attend to this day! i grew up right here involved in youth ministry from jr. high to college age and it's an honor to return as your jr. high pastor. i am also a graduate of stanton elementary, canyon middle school, castro valley high school and biola university.

What do you do as Minister to Jr. High Students?
i basically get to hang out with some awesomely outrageous kids. play games, sing real loud and teach them about the God's holy Word.

What is the best part of your job?
the best part of this job is seeing when God works in the lives of students. i find no greater joy than being able to watch God transform the life of a student and draw them closer to Him.

What do you think you would be doing right now if God had not called you to be in ministry?

well, it's hard to imagine doing anything else, but i think i'd be teaching history.

What do you order at Starbucks?

iced latte (or if it's too cold, a regular latte)

What do you collect?

i used to collect transformers, those awesome toys that could change from a robot into a car or a plane. so cool.

If you had a million dollars to spend today, what would you buy?

i'd probably put it in the bank, too afraid to spend that kind of dough. ok let me take that back, i'd pay off my student loans

What talent do you wish you had?

i wish i could draw because it looks like you could entertain yourself for hours doing that.

What food do you absolutely love? What food do you hate?

i love pancakes and i hate brussel sprouts

I hear you have some nicknames, what are they?

i'm glad you asked. yes it is true that i have many nicknames, allow me to list them for you: zuki, zukes, the suz (pronounced sooze), drzuki, zukisan, suzy, team japan, kenj, brian, ryguy. come up with your own, it's great fun!
