Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in San Mateo, CA in a family of five. I am an adventure junky. I love to rock climb, ride my motorcycle, and ride my road bike. I competed in swimming at USC and Wheaton College. At Wheaton I met the most amazing girl in all of Kansas, Sara, who three years later I married. I am currently working on my masters in marital and family therapy at Western Seminary.
What do you do as Pastor of Care Ministries?
I love what God has called me to do because I get to do so many diverse things caring for God's precious people. I coordinate and do my best to help out with the wide variety of care needs in our church and community. I can often be found meeting with adults and students in need of care and encouragement. Hospital visits, bereavement, and any other special care needs are what I am available for. If you know of any care needs in our church or community please let me know.
What is the best part of your job?
I get to be on the front lines seeing God care for and heal those in need. I get to share daily the unfailing hope we have in Christ.
What do you think you would be doing right now if God had not called you to be in ministry?
I would be a business entrepreneur
What do you order at Starbucks?
Sorry, Peet's is now my coffee shop of choice. I enjoy a medium vanilla latte. Mum mum good!
What do you collect?
Tools and adventure motorcycling gear.
If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?
Traveling across Europe with my wife, Sara, on a motorcycle.
What is your favorite movie quote?
Pretty much the entire "Dumber and Dumber" movie.
If you had a million dollars to spend today, what would you buy?
I would support or build a Christian orphanage in Africa, pay off most of my house and invest the rest wisely.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I would put a final stop to the lie that money, popularity, and sex can make someone genuinely fulfilled. I would let everyone know that only Jesus Christ can fill the void they have in their hearts.
What talent do you wish you had?
The ability to be instantly awesome at any sport I attempt.
What food do you absolutely love? What food do you hate?
I love Santa Maria Tri-Tip with salsa and hate anything with rye in it.
Who is the coolest Webmaster of them all?
Danny Strange
Webmaster's Note: Thanks, Chad!
