Psalm for Today

I LOVE reading the Psalms and how they are filled with raw emotion for our Lord.  I’ve been thinking about what a Psalm would look like if it were written today, perhaps something like this:

1 May all of my being rejoice,
in the majesty of Your greatness.

2 The blood that flows through my veins
 screams of Your power.
The bones that support my body,
announce Your right hand holding me.
3 My eyes see Your face,
radiating your light in the night darkness.
My ears hear the sound of Your voice,
calling my name.

4 For You alone tell the sun how much heat to release in a day.
And You alone tell which stars to be seen
 with the naked eye.
5 For You alone tell which foot should lay upon the cement first,
and only You know everything about the inner soul
 and claim us as Yours.
6 For only You are constant and never changing.
May I never stop praising Your name.

7 May all of my being rejoice
in the majesty of Your greatness;
and glorify You every moment of every day.

8  Hallelujah! Praise be to the Lord all the heavens and earth
Amen and Amen
